The N.C. House k-12 Education Committee passed a bill Tuesday that would allow the local education authority of each school system to set their own classroom mask policies, rather than allowing them to be set by the state government. The N.C. House also voted 66-44 to approve the Free the Smiles Act.
Each county is different, therefore we should not be making blanket mandates for our whole state. This bill gives the power back to the people, where it should be.
